Today is the 1 year anniversary of our uncle's passing from cancer. It's a sad day only because I realize I won't be strong-arming him to bring his family to visit us for Halloween or Christmas like I've done in the past. I am happy in the fact that he no longer suffers and is probably chillin' out with Patrick Swayze in the afterlife. I bet they are sharing a beer together!
Hubby had some awesome shirts made in his honor for all the men in the family going on the trip to the Florida Keys today. They have a copy of a boat scene he drew in his younger days. Hubby had one made for me, which I'll be wearing after work. Makes me feel a bit closer to an uncle I loved.
