Crazy Ghost Video

I'm a believer in ghosts and spirits, but this video definitely reinforces that belief!

Baby News...

not about me you silly! I'm so freakin' happy right now! I just had lunch with my dear friend E, who broke the news she's pregnant with twins!!! She had told me it was a possibility, but when she actually told me, I started jumping up and down in the middle of Whole Foods. I think people thought I was having a seizure, lol.

Any who, so know this means all you local girls need to mark your calendars for a baby shower sometime in early April!

Congratulations E & E, I'm so happy for you!

Happy Halloween!

In the spirit of Halloween, I thought I would post some random facts about the holiday.

1. Halloween originated some 2,000 years ago as a pagan holiday to honor the dead.
2. The number one candy of choice on Halloween is Snickers.
3. Halloween is the second most commercially successful holiday, behind Christmas.
4. 86% of Americans decorate their houses for Halloween
5. In the movie "Halloween," Michael's mask is actually the mask of William Shatner painted white!
6. Pumpkins are a fruit, not a vegetable.
7. There are no words that rhyme with "orange" in the dictionary
8. The Irish carved turnips and put coal or small candles inside and used them to light their homes on All Hallows Eve to keep dark spirits away.
9. The largest prize money pot for biggest pumpkin is $25,000.
10. Some so-called vampire bats do drink blood, but they're not from Transylvania. They live in Central and South America and feed on cattle, horses, and birds.

Consider yourself informed!

Dream Dress

I found this wedding dress while researching Moulin Rouge costumes last week and fell in love! If I ever renew my vows, this is the dress I will be rocking. I would forgo the necklace and go with dramatic chandelier earrings instead. I might also go with a white Lilly or gardenia bouquet or even black magic roses.

I'm Loving the Cold Weather...

because it means Fall/Winter activities are upon us! Here are some events I'm super excited about that are coming up:

1. Camping Trip
2. One Republic concert
3. Renaissance Festival
4. Thanksgiving
5. Girls Christmas Party
6. Christmas Carolling in the neighborhood
7. Trail of Lights
8. Holiday Shopping

I do wish the stores had waited until at least after Halloween to display their Christmas decorations, but I know they are pushing hard because of the economic situation. I have started picking up Christmas gifts, because I can't resist a deal! I'm slowly checking items of my list and if anyone wants to brave Black Friday with me, let me know. I'm game!

I'm also happy because I've discovered a new drink at Starbucks that I'm loving. It's the White Chocolate Mocha and it's so freakin' tasty! In order to save a few pounds and calories, I'll order it with No Whip but that Whip sure does taste yummy. I'm probably wicked late on this drink bandwagon, but that's how I roll.

In The Spirit Of Halloween...

I thought I would post the video of the prisoners in the Phillipines who are in the Guiness World Book of Records for the largest organized dance of Michael Jackson's "Thriller." It took me about 3 minutes to realize the girl is actually a guy prisoner in drag!

And in case you want more, this is their rendition of Soulja Boy/Hammer Time!

Halloween Cuteness

Only because Willie lives in my neighborhood (or actually, I live in his neighborhood!).

Concert Review

Last Friday my hubby and I as well as some friends were very excited as we headed out to see Jason Mraz in concert. I've loved Jason Mraz since his first CD "Waiting For My Rocket To Come," which was released in 2002. Some of my favorite songs off that CD included "The Remedy" and "Curbside Prophet." Jason's voice was so unique and the feel of his music had tones of reggae, jazz, hip hop and even a folksy feeling.

Along the years I've always seemed to miss out on his concerts so when they announced a concert at a small venue in my area, I was thrilled! I immediately purchased tickets and began learning lyrics to his new songs from his latest CD release earlier this year. When the night of the concert finally arrived, I couldn't wait to hear a mix of his old and new songs and I was ready to sing the night away! The opening band was a girl named Lisa Hannigan and she was so folksy I wanted to gouge my eyes out. Seriously, I'm down with all genres of music, but this was unbearable. She was soooo laid back I thought her heart stopped at one point and she'd need CPR. Not my style at all and I thought it was an unusual choice for an opening act. She didn't do a thing to get the crowd pumped for Jason Mraz.

Finally at 9pm, Jason Mraz took to the stage. It was, unfortunately, lack luster. His sound manager should be smacked, because if you were any further back than 10 feet from the stage, you could barely hear him singing! This went on for about 4 songs and I kept my fingers crossed the sound manager would fix the problem and all would be right in this world again. Not the case. My girlfriend and I ventured up closer to the stage and he sounded awesome, but we couldn't see him and eventually went back to our original spot. By the 6th song I had had enough and screamed "Turn It Up," and it eventually caught on and the whole back area was chanting and the sound man FINALLY got the system to sound better.

I would love to say the concert was amazing, but I was actually quite disappointed. Jason stuck to singing songs from his newest CD, and that leads me to believe he's quite egotistical and doesn't care about what his fans want to hear. My dream concert was a fabulous mix of old and new songs with some bitchin' covers to get the crowd rilled up. Jason didn't bust out any old songs until the Encore. Sadly, the encore was the best part of the concert. I give his voice quality and consistency a 10, but overall performance a 6. It's a good thing he's nice to look at!

Another Successful Halloween Party

This weekend marked the annual Halloween party which was held at my in-laws house. Five of us were doing the Moulin Rouge theme and got together early to work on makeup and applying our crazy false eyelashes. We then had a pre-party where we gorged on chicken wings, taco pizza and chips and dip. After we all got dressed we loaded up our goodies and headed over to the actual party.

Upon entering the house, spooky decorations and lighting gave the feeling of a haunted house. All the food was displayed in the kitchen and there was quite a spread. My favorite was the jello brain (mostly because I made it!). We also had a disgustinly realistic Kitty Litter Cake that I just couldn't bring myself to eat because of how it looked.

As we headed to the backyard, we were greeted by blazing tiki torches, a bonfire, and a graveyard scene. We had the obligatory Karaoke machine which Richard Simmons couldn't step away from in the later part of the evening. Amy Winehouse even made a drunken, drugged out appearance and attempted to sing, but just couldn't put the booze down!

Some of the best costumes were John Mcain and Sarah Palin, Little Red Riding Hood and the Big Bad Wolf (1st place in costume contest), Amy Winehouse (2nd place in costume contest), Bleeker and Juno, and two Richard Simmons'!

It was a more subdued party than last year (probably because we didn't make the Skippy's drink) but a fun night of fantasy nonetheless. Next year, I'm going with a more comfortable outfit because my feet still hurt from my heels!

I Yearbooked Myself!

Oh my God, I look like my grandmother in 1958!

Ack! Now I look like my mother in 1968!!

I look like Becky from the Roseanne TV show! Is it a shame to admit I actually had a haircut similar to this in 1998?!

Old School Crush Confession!

I admit it, I used to have a crush on Scott Wolf.
I never really watched Party of Five, but he was Bailey on that show. He had the best dimples and the cutest smile. **sigh** What really made me love him was a cheesy movie called "Double Dragon."
I watched that movie over and over again. Alyssa Milano was in that movie and they actually got engaged after the movie, but it never worked out. I don't know what happened to Scott Wolf, but he definitly stole a little piece of my teenage heart!

Halloween Drama

Last night as my hubby and I were catching each other up on our day's activities, I was informed that his 17 year old sister would be bringing 8 friends to the Halloween party this year. Awesome. Just what we all want to see, a bunch of snot-nose spoiled kids at a party for adults. As you can probably tell, I have a problem with this. Now I know I can't actually do to much about it since the party is at my in-laws house this year, but I think it's a bad idea to have underage kids at a party like this.

The booze is free-flowing, and I know that's the only reason my sister-in-law wants to stick around for the party. Let's face it, she NEVER wants to attend family events and we usually have to twist her arm to come. But mention a party with booze and she's in. I don't want to make her seem like a lush, but she's had incidents with drinking before and I just think it's a poor decision on my in-laws part to allow her to be at the party and bring friends. I'm hoping they just stay in her room and party, but we'll just have to wait and see. I think if they do come mill about they will quickly realize they have nothing in common with the other guests and jet.

The local neighborhood cop already knows about the party and was invited to stop by and I'm hoping this will be enough to deter the underage kids from drinking and the parents allowing it. Agin, we'll just have to wait and see.

You want pedicure too?

Must have volume to appreciate this video. So funny!

Really, Coffee for kids?

Being that it was about 45 degrees when I woke up this morning, I thought I would treat myself to a latte from Starbucks on the way to work. As I'm waiting for the barista to make my drink, I casually scan the line filled with people clamoring for their morning pick-me-up before they head to the drudgery called work. What really shocks me is a mother of two children, orders kid sized frozen coffee drinks for her kids! Is it really necessary to get 5-8 year olds hooked on caffeine at such a young age?

Nobody else seemed to be bothered by this, but I thought it was ridiculous. What's next, giving them energy drinks in their lunch bags?!

1950's Style

Another blog I follow had a link to a website where you could upload a picture of yourself and see how you would look throughout the years 1940-2000. It's hysterical because they use old yearbook photos and super-impose your face on the photo. I tried using some photos but I wasn't looking straight into the camera (mostly because I was posing in all the photos) so I decided to try it out with a friend's photo. Check out the results!

1984 style

1960's style

He,he. So funny! Try it out if you've got some time to waste. It's a really good laugh!

How Cool Is This?!

Our band friends who live in Orlando received a call yesterday from the Secret Service. It was totally out of the blue and when our friends asked what the call was about, a very serious voice on the other line informed them that they had been doing some research on them and they needed to discuss an important issue with them. (Ok, right about now is when my mind would start racing about every crazy and stupid thing I might have ever done!)

Our friends kept their cool and asked what this "important issue" was and after a few minutes they were asked if they were interested in playing at the Democratic National Convention tonight before Obama and Biden spoke! How freaking cool is that?! Apparently, the Secret Service had asked multiple venues who the best band was in Orlando to play this important show and everyone gave the name of our friends band. All 5 band members passed their security checks yesterday and they will be playing today at 4pm for over 100,000 people. It's one of the bigger crowds they have played for and one they are very excited about.

Hopefully some nice corporate gigs and better exposure will come out of this gig for my friends. Check out their myspace page for more info!

Weekend Wrap-up

My hubby took me on a little road-trip to a quaint town called Wimberly as part of my anniversay present. Wimberly is about an hour or so away from our house and it was a perfect weekend for a road-trip. The sun was shinning but the air was crisp enough to roll the windows down and let the breeze run through our hair. I really do love autumn weather!

Once we arrived at the quaint town, we set out to hit all the cute shops and funky stores on the main drag. Our first stop was to the Cedar Chest where I picked out four charms for my Pandora bracelet that my hubby gave me a few months ago. There are so many charm options and it was a bit overwhelming to decide which ones to select. I wanted to keep my bracelet on the dainty side, so I ended up choosing smaller charms. I got two birthstone charms to represent my birth month and my hubby's birth month, as well as a heart charm and one that sort of looks like a fancy pumpkin (mostly in the shape). They cleaned my bracelet and I absolutely love it!

We ducked into all the small, funky shops and laughed and browsed our way through the town. My hubby purchased a few cigars and a vintage jacket. I crossed a few people off the Christmas present list and was quite pleased at that. We had lunch at a bustling cafe where the sweet potatoe fries are to die for. After about 3 hours we decided to call it a day and head back to town to partake in the craziness that is called "tail-gating."

I come from a small college that didn't have a football game, so I didn't tail-gate. I also don't really drink, so I don't get the allure of drinking for 5 hours before the football game, but I digress. The weather was beautiful, downtown was decked out in burnt orange and the food and beer was free flowing. Plus our team ended up winning, so that's what I would call a good night!

Is "Mantyhose" the next big thing?!

I think not! Seriously, a man created pantyhose for men to wear on a daily basis. First off, I didn't know men had the need or desire for pantyhose. This is all new to me. Take a look:

I just don't get it. Why would men want to wear pantyhose in the first place? Check out the creator's website
and get the scoop on Mantyhose.

The Fair is Coming!

I was so excited to learn the fair is coming to town next weekend! I mean, what's not to love?! You get to eat awesome fair foods like funnel cake, candy apples, cotton candy, corn dog, etc. You also get to wait in line to ride rides that were built by carnies (sorry, couldn't resist). Although, carnies scare me, "they smell like cabbage." Name that movie!

My hubby recently suggested we find a local fair and go spend the day and enjoy playing the funny games, eating the food and going on rides. Local fairs just epitomize fall to me. When I lived up north, we always had a huge school fair in the beginning of October. Your parents would drop you off, and you'd run around riding all the rides, trying to win a cheap stuffed prize and getting sick of cotton candy and soda combos. Ah, those were the days!

I do have one specific memory from the fair in 3rd grade. Our grandparents came along and were buying and eating big buckets of steamed oysters and clams. My grandpa suggested I try an oyster, and let's just say I still think about the innocent bystanders I sprayed with spit after dry heaving that oyster out of my mouth! It took many years for me to try oysters again and know I love them.

So I hope all of you go out, enjoy the fair, and relive your youthful and carefree fair days!

Hermit Crabs

I don't know why this memory popped into my head the other day, but I thought I would share it.

When my sister and I were younger, we each had hermit crabs as pets. One day, while playing down in the basement, my sister took my hermit crab out of the cage. No biggie, I didn't think anything of it. What she did next was the issue: She took her play set of golf clubs and proceeded to try and get a hole-in-one with my hermit crab! About two hours later, my poor hermit crab was not feeling well (go figure) and died. I tried to revive it by dunking it in water, that didn't work too well.

Ah, that memory still makes me laugh. I was probably 7 years old and my sister was 5. Needless to say, we didn't get any more hermit crabs after that summer.

Hump Day

Happy Wednesday! So I was out sick Monday afternoon and all day Tuesday. I caught some weird flu-like sickness and didn't want to subject my co-workers to my constant sniffles and groans of discomfort. I literally spent all day in bed yesterday resting up and drinking fluids. At first it was great. I mean, who doesn't love to sleep all day?!

But as the day wore on, I slowly realized there was nothing good on TV. I'm pretty sure I watched every episode of the Rachel Zoe Project and caught myself up on the whole season. I decided to rent Baby Mama with Tina Fey and Amy Poehler. Those two ladies crack me up and it was a funny movie, but it would have been funnier with someone to watch it with. You know how when something's funny you laugh and turn to your friends to see if they were laughing? Yeah, well I did that and it was quite sad to realize I was laughing too hard by myself.

Today is also my three year wedding anniversary. Hubby and I are going to some fancy dinner party tonight and then he's taking me to a cute little town in Driftwood to do some shopping on Saturday. It's hard to believe we've been married three years. It's so cliche, but time really does fly! What's crazier is that on the 19th represents the day of our first official date and that was eight years ago. I often look over my scrapbooks from our first couple of years and laugh over how much we've grown and changed. Not only as individuals but as a couple. We've had some crazy times over the last eight years and I look forward to what the next eight bring us!

Weekend wrap-up

This was quite a busy weekend but one with such great memories. Friday night we celebrated a friend's birthday at Z Tejas. The weather was beautiful and we sat outside and gorged ourselves on great food and great conversations. Being the nerd I am, I called it a night around 9pm, mostly because I was under the weather with a cold.

Saturday I hosted a costume completion party for all the girls joining me with the Moulin Rouge theme for the Halloween party. We ate pumpkin lasagna, salad and breadsticks, along with several bottles of wine and champagne. After dinner we headed inside, drew the curtains and changed into our costumes. We fine tuned some details, decided on jewelery, hair styles, etc. Once we mastered the self-timer on the camera, we spent about 30 minutes laughing our asses off and posing for group photos. We then changed into swim suits and headed to the hottub where we proceeded to drink too much and laugh too loud! The weather was beautiful, the moon was shinning and I'm sure the neighbors got an earful!

Sunday was a relaxing day. A few of us headed out to see Beverly Hills Chihuahua and laughed our butts off again. It was a cute movie and made me want even more chihuahua's! We cruised the stores for good deals and I came home with a few goodies. My hubby came home around 6ish sporting a nice black-eye, which was a parting gift from the bachelor party he attended in Florida over the weekend. Apparantly the boys were rough-housing and Jason got head-butted, which left him with a spectacular shiner. I guess boys will be boys, but geez, black-eyes?!

Betty White is awesome.

Betty White, who you may remember from the show Golden Girls, was on Craig Ferguson's evening talk show this week. She discussed being John McCain's speech writer. It starts about 1:47 into the clip:

If I could pick a second grandmother, she would be it!

Wait, you want to paint my what?!

Oh, my cat! I wasn't sure if I heard you correctly! Silly me. So apparently painting your house cat or kitten isn't unheard of. It's new to me, but I'm not judgemental. Let's see how it can turn out:
Looks like this one belongs with an Egyptian King or Queen.

I can't remember, what do they say about pets resembling their owners?

I get it, Koi Fish Kitty!

I have no comment on this one.

Happy Halloween!

I'm going to guess this guy lives alone. With no wife. Or friends.

I would run away screaming if a cat approached me looking like this!

There's your weird and random post of the day! Now go paint your cat!

Bunco Babes

So last night was my month to host Bunco in my neighborhood. For those of you unfamiliar with Bunco, it's a dice game involving 100% luck and no skill, easy scoring and a simple set of rules. The 12-16 women who are part of a Bunco group take turns as the Bunco hostess, providing snacks, refreshments and the tables to set up the games. Members pay anywhere from $5-20 per game. The object of the game is to accumulate points and to roll certain combinations. The winners get a portion of the money collected for accomplishments such as the most wins, most losses, most wipeouts,or the most buncos.

I left work around 1pm so that I had plenty of time to finish cleaning, set up the tables and cook dinner. I chose to make butternut squash soup, vegetable pumpkin lasagna, breadsticks and cake for dessert. The whole day was filled with one issue after another. I originally wanted to make these cute cupcake lollipops, and they were a freakin' bitch to make and I had to scrape them at the last minute. I made a generic French Vanilla cake with Chocolate frosting instead. My hubby failed to see why I was stressing and offered to go buy me a dessert from the grocery store. I was shocked and dismayed at his suggestion. I'm known in the neighborhood for my homemade desserts, I can't serve something store bought!! He laughed, told me I was nuts, and went about his business.

Next, as I was preparing the soup with my fabulous girlfriends help, my damn blender decided to bust a leak and the soup go everywhere. Awesome! Then, as the party time is rapidly approaching, I put the lasagna in the oven.... without turning the dang oven on! I check on it about 25 minutes later and to my horror discover it's not cooking, so I freak out, turn the oven on, and say a prayer. Luckily, it all came together (with some help from my girlfriend) and everyone loved the food.

Around 8pm we started playing and I managed to maintain my seat the the Head table for 7 games (this meant I was winning each game and didn't have to switch tables). In the end, I ended up winning $15 for most Wins and I was so excited. I even rolled a Bunco, which is three 6's! Ah, typical suburbian life. I love it!

Riiiiiiggghtt

A girlfriend of mine just sent me this video about a new invention called the "Hawaii Chair." Ellen tried it out on her TV show and I'm sold!

I found this website which has an explanation of the chair's purpose:
The Perfect Hawaii Chair combines the ancient art of the Hula with a patented 2,800 RPM Hula motor to create an easy-to-use waistline slimming and fat burning aerobic workout exercise machine that takes the work out of your work.

The Hawaii Chair fits anywhere, is easy to use and perfect for the whole family. It targets your waistline shedding unwanted fat from your body.
For senior citizens, frequent exercising with the Hawaii Chair promotes vigor without strenuous exercise.

Let me save you around $300 and suggest a hula hoop for $1.50. Just a thought!

Halloween funnies

This is my furbaby's costume from two years ago. She was a bad-ass fighter pilot!

Such a photo-poser, just like her mommy!

And then there is my hubby, who was totally over the Halloween thing around 8pm.

I went as the Bride of Frankenstein and my hubby was the downtown area crazy "Leslie."

Kids are funny

My girlfriend has a five year old daughter who's about to turn 6 this month. She is the funniest little thing mostly because of what comes out of her mouth. She calls it like she sees it, which makes for some rather funny and embarrassing moments when she's around. Case in point: While my friend was changing into her gym shirt in the car, her daughter was staring at her breasts and trying to grab them. Exasperated, my friend told her "What's the big deal? They're just boobs and you're going to have them one day, too." Her daughter's response was classic: "Oh great, so does this mean I'll get a big butt and a hairy nu-nu, too?!"

You gotta love kids!

Concert Announcement

I've been keeping my fingers crossed since last year that the band One Republic would add our city to their tour. Lo and behold, my wish finally came true! One Republic is playing in November and I just purchased my tickets. For those of you not familiar with One Republic, they performed on the tv show So You Think You Can Dance last summer and instantly shot to fame with their hit "Apologize."

The newest song on the radio is "Say," and I really love this song. I have the entire cd, and I actually like all the songs on it, which is why I am so excited to see them in concert.

Oh, and it doesn't hurt the lead singer, Teddy, is cute!

Weekend Wrap-up & Chicken Wing Fiasco #2

I had a pretty relaxing weekend, so nice to have a few non-crazy weekends here and there. Friday night we played Volleyball in the local park and passed out early. Saturday I made it to my Yoga class and then ran around buying half priced Halloween decorations and gifts for my girlfriend's new baby girl. There are so many cute baby items out there it's ridiculous. I probably lost about an hour of my day in Target wandering around the baby section looking for the "perfect" gift. I don't know any one month old baby that can tell the difference between a so-so gift and a perfect gift, but what the hell. I wanted something perfect!

My hubby managed to convince me to go to dinner with some friends downtown that evening. We had a wonderful dinner at South Congress Cafe where I had the warm Goat Cheese Salad. So delish! The food was great and the conversation was even better. We decided to grab some after dinner drinks at 219 and it looked like there was a huge line to get in the bar. Turned out the line was to get into Rain, the local gay bar. I'll tell you what, Rain was a happening place and they must make a boatload of money every weekend. We sat on the patio at 219 and the line was solid for well over an hour. We enjoyed some people watching and saw a girl wearing this t-shirt that said: "I'm a Happy Hook-er" and had the hook'em horns sign on it. Wow. These college kids are always making mom proud!

Sunday I decorated my house for Halloween. I love decorating and probably spent a good 4-5 hours making sure everything was set up for maxium spookiness. I also decided I would make some chicken wings for dinner so we could enjoy them while we watched the football game. If you remember from my first chicken wing fiasco, things didn't go so well and I never actually go to enjoy the wings, so I was really looking forward to stuffing my face with wings. As I'm making jello for dessert, I open the oven to check on the wings and a 400 degree steam plume erupts and burns my freakin' arm. I scream out in pain, let go off the oven door and run to the sink. I put my arm under cold water and my hubby comes running from the bar room. He doesn't know what to do and neither do I so we pull up "The Google" and search steam burns. EWW, they have some really bad pictures, but good information. Basically, I'm screwed, but I can put some aloe on it and take a Tylenol. This is the picture I took this morning and the blotchy, red area is the burn. It hurts like a bitch!

It looks weird in the picture, but it's really red and nasty looking. I'm thinking I should refrain from making chicken wings and just order in when I have a hankering for some!

Tim Gunn's Guide To Style

I watched the premiere episode of Tim Gunn's show on Bravo last night. For those of you who don't know, Tim Gunn has become quite popular in mainstream life due to his mentor work on the hit show Project Runway. Tim is a fashion consultant and he uses his seemingly infinite knowledge of the fashion world to help fashion challenged women become more comfortable not only with fashion, but with themselves.

The fashion victim on last nights episode was a sweet woman around 28, who worked as a professional in D.C. Her normal wardrobe choice was a "matchy-matchy" suit that really made her petite frame look boxier and heavier than she really was. To my delight, the first thing Tim pointed out was the importance of a spectacular "undergarment base." Her bra looked too loose and was so ill-fitting it really stood out under her shirts. She was whisked off to Bra Tenders where she was informed how wrong her current bra choice was and with the correct bra, she easily looked ten pounds lighter and had better posture.

Tim and his co-host explained how her wardrobe choices were making her look matronly and really hitting her body at the worst places for a petite frame. They loaded her up with wonderful information about how to dress for your body type and the best way to mix pieces. My favorite part of the show was when they asked her to try on the outfits she had picked out in a local boutique. She comes out in the horribly patterned dress that did nothing for her figure and she thought it was a good choice. Her eyes got big when Tim told her it was a bad choice (she was shocked) and stated that he would "wrestle her down to the ground in Bloomingdale's before he ever let her walk out in that dress." I couldn't help but laugh because Tim was dead serious. You can tell he gets what fashion is about and how it can be used to really make you feel like a woman.

The part that really got me jealous was when Tim took her to meet Gilles Mendel. Gilles is a French designer who owns the J. Mendel line. Not only did she get to try on 5 beautiful and drool-worthy dresses, she got to keep one! This is just one photo of a J. Mendel dress I like: Oh and did I mention she got to try on a slew of Christian Louboutin shoes as well?! This is a pair quite similar to the ones she was given to keep as a surprise from the designer himself because she was so damn sweet.

All that being said, I really enjoyed the show. I thought there was a good bit of humor from both Tim and his co-host as well as the former fashion victim. I give it a 7 out of 10. I will definitely continue to watch, mostly because I dream about all those designer clothes and shoes on a nightly basis. Is it wrong if it makes me want to throw out my current wardrobe, buy a bunch of crap from Goodwill, and try to get on this show so they can "save me?" Sigh.

Why Me?

Why is it that everytime I go to my gym class, the person who sets up next to me either does or has 1 of 3 things:

1. Has horrible B.O.

2. Farts the entire class

3. Ate something really stinky for lunch and burps it up all class

I don't understand it! It happens in the Pump class or the Yoga class I go to. All I'm asking for is for gym-goers to shower, take a Gas-X pill and eat a mint!

Should You Vote?

Message to Postal Patrons

Fill out your damn paperwork before you get to the post office! The rest of us in line don't want to wait while you address your letter to your dear auntie or your bastard ex-husband! We don't want to hear your life story and neither does the postal worker trying to process your paperwork as fast as possible to get you the heck outta there.

Whew, thanks for letting me rant.

Totally Diggin' This Song

It's called Beggin' and it's by a Norwegian hip hop/rap band. I just heard the song on the radio at lunch and I'm hooked!

With all the car drama yesterday, I forgot I had promised my hubby I would make some baked buffalo chicken wings for dinner. I also forgot I had a nail appointment which meant I would not get home until around 7pm. No biggie, I had him marinate the wings while I was getting my nails did, and told him to preheat the oven when I was 15 minutes from home.

When I finally make it home I realize the oven hadn't been preheated. Drats, now we would have to wait longer for the wings. Then we decided to inspect my car and assess the damage from the stupid pole I hit (which obviously jumped out at me!). I have to thank one of my wonderful girlfriends for stopping by for a bit and giving me an awesome Halloween decoration and for chatting a bit. It definitely improved my mood! After our friends left, my hubby started taking apart my car to see if he could "bang out" the dent. Lord help us, my hubby's taking a hammer to my car!

While he's working away, I decide I should throw the chicken wings in the oven so we could eat before 9pm. Problem is, I've never actually made chicken wings before, so I didn't realize they needed to bake for a little over an hour! Oh well. I figure we'll just be very European and eat a late dinner. By 9:30, the wings are finally ready and I have to admit, the house smelled fantastic! I popped into the garage to let my hubby know it was time to eat and was quite pleased to see he had gotten the dent out. Now, it doesn't look too pretty right now, but I'm hoping a bodyshop can smooth the spot out for about $50.

All in all, the wings turned out great and the damage to my car looks much better. I won't have the prettiest car on the road, but it sure is dependable!

F***'ing Wonderful

Wow, can I restart the day? As I'm leaving work for an appointment, I hit a damn pole. Stupid covered parking. I guess that's what I get for rushing around and thinking about my mental checklists. F***!!!

Here's a pic. F***!!!

Cheap ass Huyndai with it's thin bumper and side panel! Damn you to hell! I'm really upset, so please feel free to send me something chocolate. F***!

Camel-Toe & Whale-Tail are Fashion NO-NO's!

I really don't understand the thought process of offenders of the Camel Toe and Whale-Tail that I see in everyday life. Please tell me it's not possible they don't have a full length mirror to double-check their appearance. What is really disheartening, is if they do have a mirror and they just go about their day thinking they look great. Let me repeat myself: Camel-Toe and Whale-Tails are innapropriate and completely avoidable ladies! In case you've never heard of these fashion faus paus, here is illustration of what to avoid.

Whale-Tail
Camel-Toe

These two looks are never appropriate for anyone! Please, make sure your pants fit you well. When buying pants, make sure to move around, stretch, sit down and check to make sure they don't give you either offense. And if you don't have a full length mirror at your house, you damn well better have at least one good girlfriend who will tell it to you straight. Girls, please remember, friends don't let friends have Whale-Tail or Camel-Toe. Period.
