I need a weekend to recover from my weekend!
Friday after work I decided to get my nails done and my eyebrows waxed. I was exhausted and my nail tech Tina could tell, so when I did the paraffin dip she went ahead and gave me an arm and hand massage. It was heaven! Afterwards I headed home to snuggle up and watch Mamma Mia with my friend Christine. Hubby went dove and duck hunting for the weekend so I was taking full advantage of chick flick time.
Saturday I woke up and made it on time to my Body Flow class that I love. I haven't exercised since Halloween when I went to the hospital for abdominal pains. Needless to say, I was pretty stiff and looked like a beginner again until my muscles warmed up. Once the class was done I headed over to meet up with my girls to watch Bride Wars. I loved the movie and thought it was funny and really cute. We then decided to head to C's house to rock out on Rock Band. Even though it took us an hour to get situated, we proceeded to play until about 7pm when we decided it was time to order pizza and break into the red wine.
The awesomeness that is Rock Band continued until about 11pm when a few of us started getting tired. C had been drinking monster and grape vodka all day and was disgustingly awake. Once she saw we were getting tired, an hour long assault on our tired defenses began by an energy drink crazy woman! I don't think I've laughed that hard in a long time, I'm talking tears streaming down my face and the very possible threat of me peeing my pants! T took the easy way out and played "possum" and started snoring on the couch like she was sleeping. It was a very clever ruse that fooled C, who then started to demand I play American Idol karaoke on the Wii.
I begged and begged her to let me go to sleep and even threatened to go home! Ever the team player, I sang songs while sprawled out on the couch until my eyes started drooping and I was checking them for cracks between songs. C finally relented and we closed up shop a little after midnight. As we were preparing for bed, we traded quips back and forth between rooms and continued to laugh our butts off. I faded blissfully asleep and didn't move the entire night. We woke up about 8am and talked until about 8:30am when we couldn't resist the smell of Bobby's cooking any longer. We had a wonderful breakfast and I then headed out for an hour and a half of Yoga class.
It was a very fun weekend and I'm pretty sure my abs hurt like hell from all the laughing we did on Saturday. I love getting together with the girls and thanks to C for hosting us yet again at her place!

Yes, I had to apologize the next morning for being the obnoxious drunk. I think I'll lay off the Purple Monsters for a while!!!
