Weekend wrap-up

This was quite a busy weekend but one with such great memories. Friday night we celebrated a friend's birthday at Z Tejas. The weather was beautiful and we sat outside and gorged ourselves on great food and great conversations. Being the nerd I am, I called it a night around 9pm, mostly because I was under the weather with a cold.

Saturday I hosted a costume completion party for all the girls joining me with the Moulin Rouge theme for the Halloween party. We ate pumpkin lasagna, salad and breadsticks, along with several bottles of wine and champagne. After dinner we headed inside, drew the curtains and changed into our costumes. We fine tuned some details, decided on jewelery, hair styles, etc. Once we mastered the self-timer on the camera, we spent about 30 minutes laughing our asses off and posing for group photos. We then changed into swim suits and headed to the hottub where we proceeded to drink too much and laugh too loud! The weather was beautiful, the moon was shinning and I'm sure the neighbors got an earful!

Sunday was a relaxing day. A few of us headed out to see Beverly Hills Chihuahua and laughed our butts off again. It was a cute movie and made me want even more chihuahua's! We cruised the stores for good deals and I came home with a few goodies. My hubby came home around 6ish sporting a nice black-eye, which was a parting gift from the bachelor party he attended in Florida over the weekend. Apparantly the boys were rough-housing and Jason got head-butted, which left him with a spectacular shiner. I guess boys will be boys, but geez, black-eyes?!
