I was pleasantly surprised when I stepped outside this morning in how the air felt cooler than usual. It was a comfortable 68 degrees, which is quite a change from the 78 degree mornings we've been experiencing for quite some time. Ah, Autumn is almost upon us. The First Day of Autumn is September 22, a mere 18 days away.
I have to admit, I'm looking forward to the cooler weather that comes with the beginnings of Autumn. Not only will I need to go buy warmer clothing, but I'll finally be able to utilize the new crop jackets I purchased a few months back! I've been caressing them in my closet, waiting for the moment when I can pull them out and actually wear them without sweating to death.
With Autumn, comes my second favorite holiday, Halloween! I've already purchased new decorations for the party this year and I'm keeping my eye on this inflatable graveyard scene. The workers at Lowe's are getting sick of me asking when the price will go down! I'm also looking forward to October because it's my month to host Bunco, the women's dice game I play. I'm in the final stages of preparing my menu, and I love to go all out.
I also love the idea of roaring fires, roasting marshmallows, and cozying up with my hubby on the couch with our fleece blankets. What's not to love?!
